 The season 2010-11 ended, and again it was successful for my team! Some may think that it was easy to reach this result having the players we had, but it was a very hard season. We all had to work and fight a lot to get to the finals of the Champions League and to resist all attempts from other Azeri teams to push us off the throne.
If someone told me four years ago that I would be playing for this long in Azerbaijan, I wouldn't have believed them. But the paths in our lives can be so much different from what we initially expect. In the beginning, I was a skeptic. The Azeri volleyball league was totally foreign to me.
 The phone is ringing... I pick up the phone.
A voice on the phone is asking: "Hello?... Sanja?"
I reply, "Yes?"
The voice: "Would you like to play in Azerbaijan...?"
 "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway!" This has been my motto throughout my first professional season and so far it's helped me make some pretty tough decisions and embrace the enormous changes I've experienced this past year.
